MOTO PISTON RALLY OCT 2011 SPAIN

Just returned from a fab trip on the Moto Piston Rally. The Spanish have the ability to put on a real good value for money rally with rides out on Thurs, Sat and Sunday combining mountain and coastal routes and ,of course, the Friday their famous Mille de Cinca Curvas (The route of 5,000 curves) This was a great challenge as the weather was against us, fog,rain and wind, unusual for Spain but we battered around and made a good time all be it, it was very slippery in places. "Finisher " Tankard now on the mantelpiece. Our trustee old R100RS BMW performed impecably over the 1,364 miles we covered with only one problem the old girl didn't like Spanish 95octane unleaded so we treat her to 98 octane and she flew home!
